Terms and conditions

All of our products manufactured from high quality materials, but care must be taken when fitting replacement brake pipe components to all vehicles. Before fitting brake pipes and brake pipe components you must make sure that you have the mechanical ability and knowledge to do so safely.

You should carefully read and understand the following procedures before undertaking any work on brake pipes:

  • Brake pipe unions and thread should be carefully matched up against originals to ensure they are correct for vehicle.

  • Once brake pipes are bent to correct shape on vehicle and unions are ready to be attached, blow through pipe to make sure any loose material which could have entered pipe during fitting stage is removed.

  • You must examine all sections of each pipe before fitting for defects. Ensure all pipes and components fitted are pressure tested on vehicle for signs of leakage before use. Unions must be checked to ensure they are completely leak-proof (but should also not be overtightened, recommended torque setting is between 6-8 ft. lbs).

  • Brake pipes should be formed to required shape ensuring there are no kinks, scratches or imperfections in structure of the pipework.

  • Fitted brake pipes must not be allowed to come in contact with, or be allowed to rub on any other components e.g. bodywork, steering, suspension, etc.

  • All brake pipes must be supported at 18 inch intervals by retaining clips.

  • When bleeding brake hydraulic system always ensure that fresh brake fluid, to the correct specification for the vehicle is used. Old brake fluid can have absorbed moisture from the atmosphere, significantly reducing its hydraulic properties.

We manufacture brake pipes exacly to the specifications stated by our customers and accept no liability arising from incorrect fitting of brake pipes or brake pipe components, to any vehicle. If you are in any doubt as to the condition of any brake pipes or items we supply you must not fit these to any vehicle. We have a guarantee policy whereby if you are unsatisfied in any way with the quality of our workmanship or products , your pipes can be returned for a full refund.
